The Judge where:   Hazlett Theatre, Pittsburgh when:   28 Dec 2001 - 6 Jan 2002 director:   Peter Kope, Michele de la Reza tools:   Flash, Painter, AfterEffects, Final Cut, Photoshop This piece opens with a projection of a man sucked through the insides of a sewer and spit out into open space; he takes a vertical tour through an animated city before he crash-lands on the stage. The live actor (J. Robinson Springer) charged through a cloth rear-projection screen, ripping it open for his entrance. This was my first time working with rotoscoping; we hung the actor from stunt wires and drew over the live footage.
